Young Investigator Award

Young investigators are encouraged to participate in the 8th EuroELSO Congress. Aim of the Young Investigator Award is to support excellent young fellows and to present their scientific abstracts to the world’s top ECMO leaders. Young investigators are young scientists, doctors, nurses and perfusionists.

Requirements for application

  • Age below 35 years
  • Submission of a scientific abstract
  • Letter of recommendation from the local ECMO director
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Personal presence in Barcelona mandatory

Submitted applications are awarded on the basis of an evaluation process by the Scientific Committee.

Travel Fellowship Grants

Travel Grants

Travel Fellowships are focused to delegates for whom it is difficult to cover all the costs for attendance on their own.

The EuroELSO Travel Fellowship Grant provides

  • Free registration
  • Accommodation for up to three nights
  • Travel stipend of up to € 200,00

There will be only a limited number of fellowships per country available.

Requirements for application

  • Motivation letter (max. 200 words, including brief statement of your financial need for sponsorship)
  • Curriculum vitae (brief CV, two pages, format DinA4)
  • Dipoloma (scanned copy)
  • Applicants must have completed Medical Studies and must be fluent in English
  • Accepted abstract is a necessary condition
  • Personal presence in Barcelona mandatory

Andrea Aguzzi EuroELSO Nursing Award 2019

EuroELSO & Bambino Gesù

 

 

 

The Steering Comittee of EuroELSO in cooperation with the Bambino Gesù Children’s of Rome are issuing the 2nd time the Andrea Aguzzi EuroELSO Nursing Award.

Andrea Aguzzi was an ECMO nurse in the Pediatric Critical Care of Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital, prematurely died at 34 years old with a motorbike accident while coming to work. This award finalized to spread and increase the nursing research on extracorporeal life support in the world.

This award consists of the full coverage of travel expenses, accommodation and free congress registration and will be assigned to the best nursing abstract which will be discussed during the EuroELSO congress in Barcelona.
